    I don’t know why, but I don’t believe he’s being sincere.

    Copyright Infringement of the Day: Former Governor of Florida Charlie Crist posted a video yesterday apologizing to David Bryne for using the Talking Heads song “Road to Nowhere” in a campaign ad without his permission.

    “Mr. Byrne has never permitted his songs to be used for advertising of any kind, a position I respect deeply,” Crist says in the video, conveniently leaving out the part where Byrne had to sue him to get an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

    “I am one of the few artists who has the bucks and cojones to challenge such usage,” Bryne said in a statement announcing the lawsuit favorable resolution.
